The Komatireddy brothers who generally voice the same views on the Telangana movement, made two different statements on Friday. MLA Komatireddy Venkata Reddy said all the people's representatives of the Telangana region would resign en-masse and pull the government down.

However, his younger brother and MP Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy faulted his brother. Stating that there was no doubt that all of them were unanimous in their resolve to resign, he said neither Telangana could be achieved, nor government could be pulled down, because of their resignations. Stating that the resignations were to pass through the Speaker, he said the party High Command would not permit him to accept them. Rajagopala Reddy said it was hence not wise to resign. MP Ponnam Prabhakar also supported the argument of Rajagopal Reddy. He said their aim was to achieve Telangana and not politics.

He questioned why the Telangana leaders were unable to unite, while the Seemandhra leaders were successfully blocking the Telangana state by their unity. Meanwhile Telangana Congress MPs met at the residence of Manda Jagannatham and discssed bout their future course of action on Friday. Those who attended the meeting included Gutta Sukhinder Reddy, Vivek, Ponnam and Rajaiah. MLC Yadava Reddy and former MP KK also attended the meeting. They said whatever the decision they might take, they would take it together. The MPs decided to meet once again at 6 pm on Friday. They took the decision in view of the core committee meeting to be held later in the evening.
