Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in a title role in the much-talked-about period drama "Gautamiputra Satakarni" opened to packed houses on Thursday as a Sankranti delight to the Telugu film industry. The film also marks the 100th movie of Balayya in his progressing career.

Story

 

The most-hyped flick is an epic and is centered around the 2nd century AD Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni. Tollywood legend Balakrishna will be seen playing the role of the great Satavahana ruler, Satakarni. The movie is all about his achievements, kingdom and how he carved a name for himself in the great Indian history.

 

Analysis:

 

As expected, the acclaimed filmmaker Krish crafted the project with extreme care and it is clearly visible on the silver screens.

 

The opening scene is a brilliant one and the first 15 minutes of the movie is a visual delight for the fans.

 

Balakrishna's dialogue delivery is remarkable and his performance is brilliant.

 

 

The war sequences are the major highlights of the flick and the film director and the technicians deserve an applause.

 

Veteran Bollywood star Hema Malini fits the bill and justified the role with her skill and elegance. 

 

Cinematography is good.

 

Once again, actress Shriya Saran conquered our hearts and sprinkled her magic with her charm and looks.

 

Music scored by Chirantan Bhatt is another major highlight and took the movie to incredible heights.

 

The "Gautamiputra Satakarni" is a must watch period drama and will definitely elevates the standards of Telugu cinema. All thanks to Krish.
