09:24 AM on 25th January, 2013

Chicago court sentenced David Headley, mastermind of the Mumbai massacre and Lashkar-e-Taiba activist to 35 years imprisonment. While 166 innocent persons were killed in the Mumbai mayhem, many more were injured. There were some American citizens also among the deceased and injured. The court ruled that Headley had a clear role in the mayhem and he was benefited by helping the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit. The judge who gave the sentence said though Hadley was stating that he had reformed, it could not be believed.

The judge said in fact this butcher should have been sentenced to death, as he deserved it. Headley was sentenced under 12 different charges. It may be recalled that the court sentenced Tuhuwwar Rana, a childhood friend of Headley to 14 years in jail. He was sentenced for planning a terror attack on a Danish newspaper.
