Maverick director Mani Ratnam's most prestigious project 'Kadali', a love story starring debut actors Goutham Karthik and Tulasi Nair has become the center of controversies even prior to its release. A lip-lock scene shot on the hero and heroine has become hot topic of discussion.

Though the lip-lock poster received good response from Kollywood youth, many people are criticizing the director, questioning him how could he use a minor girl to act in lip-lock scene. Tamil writers Nivedita and Gyani Shankaran slammed Mani Ratnam for the same. 'The lip-lock scene picturized on minor girl would surely send wrong indications to youth.

The producer and director must act responsible when it comes to such sensitive issues,' they opined. However, there are other actors who expressed that there is nothing wrong with the scene, since it is a part of the script and is required to be present. The movie is done with its censor part, and audience are eagerly waiting to see whether the scene has been included or excluded from the movie.
