As the Gujrat elections are nearing, both BJP and Congress are hitting out at each other with controversial comments. The comments have gone on a personal level now and the Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar took a personal attack on PM Modi yet again.
His comments came in reaction to Modi's subtle attack on India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru at a rally in Gujrat today. Without naming Nehru, Modi said, "Baba Saheb Ambedkar's contribution to nation building is very important, there had been attempts to undermine his role, but such attempts were unsuccessful."
Taking a dig at Modi's comments on Nehru, Aiyar said, "Dr. Ambedkar's biggest wish, to turn it into a reality, one person made the biggest contribution and his name was Jawaharlal Nehru. Now to say such bad things about this family, especially in the memory of Ambedkarji, a big statue is being inaugurated here. I feel that this man (PM Modi) is a very lowly (Neech) and degenerate person. On an occasion like this, what is the need for this dirty politics?"
