Police found a massive dump in the capital. It was not the dump of Maoists. It was the dump of illegal traders of explosives.


West Zone police found a dump of thousands of gelatin sticks and detonators in the Golkonda area. Two persons selling the explosives without license were arrested. Police seized 1495 gelatin sticks, 750 detonators and 54 boosters. Yadayya of Santosh Nagar and Srinivasa Reddy of LB Nagar were doing this illegal business. Task Force police handed over the two accused to the Golkonda police for further investigation.


The accused were selling the explosives to quarry owners and builders of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. They were caught while illegally transporting the explosives. The explosives sold illegally and without any records, some times slip into the hands of anti-national elements and lead to destructive activities.
