The disproportionate assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy took a new turn. In the arguments in the high court by the defence and the prosecution, a new fact came to light. Leaving the bail issue aside, political parties are debating the CBI’s argument in the court.
The agency said the state government was not cooperating in the investigation on Jagan’s case. They said they asked the government for some details 15 times and received no response. Political leaders are discussing about the revelation.

Is the government deliberately delaying the case?
Is the government not parting with information to keep Jagan in the jail longer than necessary?
These are the questions being hotly discussed in political circles.
The counsel of Jagan and CBI put forth strong arguments on the bail petition of Jagan. However suspense over whether he would get bail or face disappointment once again is continuing.

The Supreme Court had earlier directed Jagan not to file a bail petition until CBI completed its investigation filed charge-sheet. Ignoring the directions, Jagan filed the bail petition. The high court has also questioned about the Supreme Court’s directions. The court has also questioned Ashok Bhan, counsel of the CBI how long it would take to complete the investigation. He told the court that a definite time frame could not be given in economic offences. The court which heard arguments of both sides, deferred its judgment to Thursday.
