The Mumbai police took Sanil Sodhi, son of a former IAS officer into custody following the complaint filed by a woman stating that Sanil sent her his nude pictures and vulgar messages.

Sanil worked in few Bollywood movies and is a well-known face on small screen with his performance in superhit serials like Rishtey and Hum.

Sanil got into contact with a woman four months ago. Both of them used to spend hours over phone. Gradually, Sanil started sending her his nude pictures and vulgar messages. He reportedly sent 25 nude pictures from his Blackberry mobile phone.

The woman immediately lodged complaint with the police, who took him into custody.

The news of his arrest came as a shock to his family members, who claimed that Sanil is a very good person, and something somewhere has gone wrong.

The police, who registered cases under various sections on Sanil, would be presenting him before the court. Sanil is likely to be awarded stringent punishment.
