Takes oath the second time

Barrack Obama took oath as the US President the second time. Lakhs of people attended the swearing-in ceremony held in Washington on Monday. He took oath on two bibles. These bibles were earlier used by Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln. Speaking on the occasion, Obama assured to strive to face the challenges ahead and ensure that the country overcame the present economic slowdown.

 

 

Obama also mentioned about the global climate change and the dangers ahead due to atmospheric pollution. Referring to cuts in budgetary provisions, Obama assured that there would be no cuts for public health and social security. It may be recalled that Obama was sworn in first on January 20 at the White House. Supreme Court chief justice administered the oath to him at a simple ceremony.
