Yes…. They almost stalled!
08:05 PM on 23rd January, 2013

The Seemandhra leaders who rushed to Delhi in response to reports that the centre was about to take a pro-Telangana decision, appear to have stalled the process successfully. Reports about the success of their mission were so strong that the confidence of the Telangana protagonists had withered.

Responding to the question of the Delhi leaders if they had ever agitated for Samaikya Andhra, these leaders decided to at least fire a few salvos of words. They felt that the Delhi senior leaders had indirectly suggested that they should support the High Command by at least creating an artificial Samaikya Andhra agitation. The remarks made by the minor irrigation minister TG Venkatesh that the state would simmer if bifurcation was resorted to, without consulting leaders of his region, is seen as an example to the situation.

TGV said they went to Delhi and told the party leaders what all there was to tell and claimed that there was change in the thinking of the High Command. He talked as if they succeeded in stalling the separate Telangana state. He made it clear that there would be no division of the state. He also suggested that the issue might be kept pending till 2014. Stating that all the issues would settle down in a day or two, he urged the , media not to add fuel to the fire.
